Our Story

One evening, a group of women whose lives had been upended by cancer gathered together. As they shared their stories, they quickly realized the profound need for a community that truly understood the emotional and physical toll of their journeys. In that moment, they found solace in each other’s experiences, sparking a shared mission to create a supportive network where no one would have to face cancer alone. The idea of a nonprofit that focused on not just breast cancer treatment but also survivorship and beyond was born. The name came organically in a conversation with Cara Snyder a few months later and 412Thrive applied as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in September 2020.

Over the years, 412Thrive has hosted a number of in person and virtual events. We have grown from 11 Thrivers to over 600. We provide dinners, emergency funding, personalized care packages, Wellness Retreat, and support groups. The most important thing we provide is a community of support for Thrivers of all ages and all stages.
