Pink Out

Ask your school administration or boosters to host a pink out! It can be a basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, or any other game. The whole team can wear pink and you can donate admission and concession proceeds.

Penny Wars

The rules are simple.

  • Pennies are positive points.

  • Dollars are positive points.

  • Silver are negative points- these are placed in other classroom’s bins to deduct from their total.

  • At the end of the month, positive points are added ($1= 100, pennies= 1) and the sabotage coins are subtracted (quarters- 25, dimes- 10, nickels- 5).

  • The classroom with the highest remaining total wins the penny war!

For more information and tips for hosting penny wars, click here. To help you get started, here is a letter from Thriver and 1st grade teacher at Pittsburgh Lincoln Pk-5, Jessica Iusi. Her school raised over $500!
