June’s Volunteer of the month Jamie Hahm

Jamie is one of our most committed volunteers. She loves supporting our mission, as well as being a great friend who is always there for others.

At the age of 39, Jamie was diagnosed with Stage 3A Lobular breast cancer in 2019. After a single mastectomy, Jamie did 16 rounds of chemotherapy, and then 30 rounds of radiation. In 2021, Jamie had a Diep flap reconstruction and is also battling Stage 2 lymphedema, requiring her to wear a compression sleeve and glove all day.

Jamie has been volunteering for 412Thrive since the beginning of the organization. Putting together care packages, sending out all the merchandise orders and really being Sam’s right hand woman, Jamie does whatever is asked of her when it comes to helping out. “They provide opportunities to socialize with people who have an understanding of what others are going through. They teach you how to THRIVE!”
