January’s Volunteer of the Month Cara Bisegna

Our Volunteer of the Month for the month of January is Cara Bisegna!

Cara is a 40-year-old breast cancer survivor, and experienced profound personal growth and empowerment through involvement with 412Thrive, both as a member and a volunteer. “The support from this community has been instrumental in my healing, offering emotional strength, valuable resources, and guidance during my health journey. Through 412Thrive, I found a sense of belonging and connected with others who shared similar experiences, which helped me feel less isolated in my journey.”

Volunteering with 412Thrive has added a new layer of purpose to Cara’s life. “It has allowed me to give back and support others who are facing cancer or health challenges, further deepening my sense of community and shared strength. The experience of volunteering has also helped me sharpen her advocacy for early detection, self-care, and overall health, all while inspiring others to take charge of their health and prioritize their well-being.”

Cara has found nothing but positivity when it comes to 412Thrive. “In addition to the meaningful connections and volunteer work, 412Thrive has encouraged me to embrace my passions—such as animals, music, and the outdoors—and live life to the fullest. With the support of 412Thrive, I feel empowered, confident, and driven to share my story, advocating for those who need it most.”

We’re so happy that Cara has enjoyed her experience with 412Thrive and continues to thrive with us! Thank you, Cara, for all of your hard work and dedication to our organization! You’re the tits!
